That 0.73 percent increase is in keeping with population growth during 2011, and a marginal uptick over 2010 (0.6 percent growth), but still not on the pace of 2009 (0.9 percent).<\/p>\n<p>The Census bureau also estimates that one new baby will be born in the United States every eight seconds, while one person will die in the country every 12 seconds.
