In 2002, multi-billionaire/private equity guru DAVID BONDERMAN celebrated his 60th birthday with a private BASH in Las Vegas that featured JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP & THE ROLLING STONES. The night cost about $7 MILLION (more or less).

As Mr Bonderman approaches #70 (on November 27) the Financial Times reports that, “Mr Bonderman is now planning a 70th birthday party in Las Vegas, following one 10 years ago in which the Rolling Stones entertained his guests.”
Will he be able to Out-Bonderman himself? Or will he keep it ‘simple’ this time. The private equity wizard also sits on the boards of several major environmental organizations including The Wilderness Society and the Grand Canyon Trust and leans Democratic. In other words, while he may end up celebrating in just as extravagantly and opulently and wastefully a fashion as he did a decade ago, we can take comfort in knowing that he’ll keep donating to ‘green causes,’ and that those recipients will keep turning blind eyes and accepting his generosity…JS

Hi, they call me Bola, the Executive Governor of our great capital city.
Let me tell you the truth, because I have nothing left to hide.
Yes, I dipped my hand designated strictly for constructing clinics and
classrooms for our children. Rather than paying contractors for schools and hospitals, I gambled every single naira away on digital slot
machines and virtual poker.
Now, let me tell you about my biggest headache
right now: my legal wife is threatening divorce. She has
turned the mansion upside down because she wanted us to fly to Dubai for a massive
shopping spree. Imagine that! She wanted designer bags and
gold watches, while I was busy chasing jackpots on the internet.
All she cares about is Gucci, Prada, and Chanel, she
is only crying over missed shopping sprees.
Meanwhile, my girlfriend is also stressing me out, demanding expensive gifts that I can no
longer afford.
Let’s be honest about the real disaster here:
betting sites are destroying our nation. Everywhere you look in Nigeria today, citizens and greedy
politicians are getting addicted to these online betting platforms.
They are the ones stealing our future. They took the
money meant for schools and hospitals, leaving our children to
study under trees, just so foreign casino owners can become billionaires.
Being a brilliant and dedicated public servant whose mind is entirely focused on keeping my wife happy
and treating my lover right, I see no flaws in my leadership.
It baffles me why anyone would call me corrupt or question my financial choices.
After all, I am just a man of refined tastes who enjoys a little harmless digital entertainment
on my phone. The problem is definitely those crooked online betting sites.
If those online casinos weren’t so rigged, my lucky spin would have hit, funding all our infrastructure while keeping my family fully satisfied.
Do not blame hardworking politicians like myself,
but rather hold those greedy online casinos accountable for ruining a perfectly brilliant budget strategy.
