RichBoy Romney & Friends…a history of partisan ‘characterizations’ —Stiles

Much has been written about the obscene opulent wealth of the Republican nominee MITT ROMNEY.  He has many homes and an elevator for his car. They say he’s worth almost $250 million. He loves to play around on his jet ski and Democrats took it as a symbol of a rich man out of touch with the people. Republicans complain that the characterization is unfair.

Back in 2004, the DEMOCRATIC nominee for president was JOHN KERRY. He and his wife the heiress TERESA HEINZ are estimated to be worth between $750 million and $1.2 billion. When Kerry took to his windsail  that year, the Republicans saw it as a symbol of a rich man out of touch with the people. Democrats said it was an unfair characterization.

In 2004, the Kerrys owned several homes worth more than $29 million.

Republicans had a field day.

In 2008 John McCain couldn’t remember how many homes he had.

Democrats had a field day.

Republicans complain that President Obama plays too much golf.

They say he isn’t doing his job.

When Eisnhower was president, the Democrats complained that Ike played too much golf.

They said he wasn’t doing his job.

And then JFK became president and Republicans complained…etc.

Democrats mocked George H.W. Bush and his family compound at Kennebunkport

Republicans mocked the Kennedy Compound at Hyannisport

WHAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE?

It’s alright for a REPUBLICAN to play golf, ride jet skis, be rich and own many homes when he is the party’s candidate for president. But it’s EVIL for a DEMOCRAT

It’s alright for a DEMOCRAT to play golf, ride wind sails, be rich and own many homes when he is the party’s candidate for president. But it’s EVIL for a REPUBLICAN.

Now, I get it.  I think I’ll  vote for Woody Allen.

What kind of home does Woody own? And what’s his handicap? I might join you if the arithmatic is right.

I have no idea why I picked Woody as a write-in. Just a whimsical moment I was having.

I don’t hold being uncommonly wealthy against anyone. I do, however dislike it when a candidate has off shore banking accounts that he will not discuss and tax filings he will not release. It makes him look as if he is either ashamed of his wealth or is hiding something.
