If President Obama is re-elected, he will follow George W Bush and Bill Clinton, who were also re-elected. When was the last time three consecutive presidents won a second term?

THOMAS JEFFERSON,  the country’s 3rd president served from 1801-1809

JAMES MADISON followed, 1809-1817

and JAME MONROE…1817-1825
