From Herb Ringer: Christmas in Reno, 1941

Herb spent his first Christmas ‘Out West’ in Reno, Nevada.  He would spend 57 more in Nevada, before his death in 1998. Here is what holiday prices looked like at the end of 1941. Note the “controlled prices” sign—America entered World War II just two weeks earlier after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
