While we waited nervously to hear that the fire was finally contained, I began flipping through my own photographs of the La Sal Mountains and Pack Creek Ranch, going back almost 50 years. And I had a chance to peruse the collection of Bill Benge’s Kodak transparencies, from the early 70s. Here is a sampling of those images…
